Does the retailer not install it?
Delivery and installation are usually separate, and "installation" from a retailer often means connecting an existing supply and nothing else — no cabinetry work, no new plumbing, sometimes no removal of the old unit. Check exactly what is included before paying for it twice.
What happens if transit bolts are left in a washing machine?
The drum cannot move on its suspension, so the machine vibrates violently and the bearings and mountings are damaged quickly. It is the single most common self-installation mistake, and it usually voids the warranty.
Can an installer connect a gas hob?
Only if they hold the right licence for gas work in your state — this is not general handyman territory. When you book, say the appliance is gas so it goes to somebody qualified for it.
