Quick summary
This summary is for convenience only; the full Policy below controls.
- We are a marketplace connecting customers with independent local professionals. To do that, we pass the booking details you submit to the professional you choose.
- We do not sell your personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not run advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Precise location is collected only if you grant permission, and you can withdraw it in one click.
- Wherever you live in the United States, you may ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and you may appeal a refusal. Write to contact-us@task-masters.net.
- Independent professionals you book are separate businesses. Once your details reach them, their own privacy practices apply, not ours.
You can print or save this page from your browser at any time.
1. Who we are and what this Policy covers
Task Masters (“Task Masters”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is the business responsible for the personal information described here.
This Policy applies to www.task-masters.net and its subdomains; the booking, listing, urgent-request, review and messaging features of our marketplace; and our email and support communications (together, the “Service”). It applies to customers, professionals, guests booking without an account, and visitors. Where a section applies to only one group, we say so.
This Policy does not cover:
- Independent professionals. Professionals listed on Task Masters are independent businesses — not our employees, agents or partners. Once a professional receives your information, that professional decides how to use it and is independently responsible for it under applicable law. Their own privacy practices, not this Policy, govern from that point. Our agreement with professionals requires them to handle customer information lawfully, use it only to perform the requested job, keep it confidential, and honour deletion requests, but we do not control their systems and cannot guarantee their compliance. Privacy questions about a specific professional should go to that professional; we will help you reach them.
- Third-party websites we link to, which have their own policies. This includes the share buttons on professional profiles: they are ordinary links, and nothing is sent to those networks unless you click one.
- Information you choose to publish on the Service (Section 8).
Where a professional uses our tools to keep their own client records, we act on that professional's instructions in respect of those records.
This Policy is incorporated into our Terms & Conditions.
2. Personal information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
| What | Who | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Account details | Customers, professionals | Name, email, password (stored only as a salted hash), verification status |
| Profile details | Customers, professionals | Optionally phone number, city, short bio. For professionals: business name, trade category, services with prices and durations, working hours, service photos, portfolio content, business location |
| Booking details | Customers, guests | Service requested, date and time, notes you add, and — for home visits — the service address. Guest bookings collect the name and phone number you enter |
| Urgent requests | Customers, guests | Description of the problem, approximate location, phone number |
| Reviews and replies | Customers, professionals | Ratings, review text, professionals' public replies |
| Verification materials | Professionals | Business registration or licensing documents submitted for a Verified badge (see 2.4) |
| Communications | Everyone | Messages to support; newsletter email if you subscribe |
| Billing contact details | Professionals | Entered with our payment processor. Full payment card numbers never reach our servers |
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage and log data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed and when, referring pages, error data.
- Visit statistics. We compile our own aggregate traffic statistics, and we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the Service is found and used — pages viewed, referring site, device and browser, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not run advertising trackers, and Google's advertising features and ad personalisation are switched off on our property.
- Cookies — Section 6.
- Approximate location inferred from IP address — for regional statistics, routing and abuse prevention.
2.3 Information from other sources
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) — subscription status, plan, billing cycle and payment outcomes for professionals.
- Documents a professional sends us when applying for a Verified badge. We read what is submitted; we do not consult public registers, licensing boards or insurers, and we do not buy data about professionals from anyone.
- Other users, where someone names or describes you in a booking note, review or support request.
2.4 Sensitive personal information, and what not to send us
Several state laws treat certain data as “sensitive.” On the Service, the sensitive data we handle is:
- Precise geolocation — collected only with your affirmative browser permission (Section 7), used only to return nearby results, retained only as long as needed to serve that request, and never sold.
Please do not submit government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health or medical information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, citizenship or immigration status, sexual orientation, union membership, genetic or biometric data, or the contents of private communications.
Verification documents deserve particular care. Business documents that professionals upload — registrations, licences, tax letters — sometimes contain a Social Security number, a driver's licence number or a home address, particularly for sole proprietors. Please redact those before uploading; we do not need them. Where such information nonetheless reaches us, we treat it as sensitive personal information, use it solely to reach and to stand behind the verification decision, and restrict access to it: the files sit on a private disk, are never published or shared, and are readable only by the staff who review them.
We keep these documents for as long as the account exists, rather than deleting them once the decision is made, because a badge that is later disputed can only be answered by what it was granted on. They are deleted when the account is deleted, and you may ask us to delete a particular document sooner (Section 10) — we will do so, and re-examine the badge without it.
We do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose beyond those permitted by applicable state law, do not use it to infer characteristics about you, and do not sell it.
Some marketplace categories may tempt you to write health or family details into a free-text note — for example when booking massage, personal training or childcare. Please do not. Describe the request in general terms and discuss specifics with the professional directly.
2.5 California statutory categories
| CCPA category | Collected? | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| A. Identifiers | Yes | Name, email, phone, service address, IP address, account ID |
| B. Customer records (Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) | Yes | Name, address, telephone number |
| C. Protected classification characteristics | No | — |
| D. Commercial information | Yes | Bookings requested and completed, services listed, subscription plan and status |
| E. Biometric information | No | — |
| F. Internet or network activity | Yes | Pages viewed, referring pages, session data, device and browser type |
| G. Geolocation data | Yes | Precise location (permission only); city selected; approximate location from IP |

| K. Inferences | Limited | Service preferences derived from bookings and searches, used to rank and filter results |
| L. Sensitive personal information | Limited | Precise geolocation (permission only); any identification number appearing in a verification document |
Professionals as individuals. California's law covers business contacts and sole proprietors. If you are a professional, the rights in Section 10 apply to your information on the same terms as they apply to customers.
3. How we use personal information
- To operate the marketplace — create and display profiles; process and route bookings; surface professionals near you; power search, filters, ranking and maps; record appointments; publish reviews and replies.
- To communicate — transactional messages (booking confirmations and changes, urgent-request callbacks, verification decisions, security alerts, billing notices); support responses; and, only if you opted in, occasional product updates you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To process payments — administer professional subscriptions, renewals, failures and cancellations, and keep records required for tax and accounting.
- To verify professionals — review documents submitted for a Verified badge and record the decision.
- To keep the Service safe and lawful — verify email addresses; prevent spam, fraud, scraping and abuse; investigate suspected violations; enforce our Terms.
- To improve the Service — understand feature usage, diagnose errors and develop functionality, primarily using aggregated or de-identified data.
- To comply with law — meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use your personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Artificial intelligence. We do not use your personal information to train, fine-tune or improve any machine-learning model, whether our own or a third party's, and we do not provide your personal information to anyone else for that purpose.
Purpose limitation and data minimisation. We collect only the personal information reasonably necessary and proportionate to provide the Service you requested, and use it only for the purposes listed above and purposes compatible with them. If we want to use your personal information for a materially different purpose, we will update this Policy and, where the law requires, obtain your consent first.
3.1 Automated processing and profiling
We use automated logic to rank and filter search results and to flag suspected spam or abusive traffic. The ranking signals are: whether a business holds a Verified badge, distance, star rating, completed bookings, profile completeness, recent activity, and whether a professional has marked themselves available. No subscription, plan or payment is among them — see Section 12 of our Terms and how we rank professionals. These processes do not produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you, and we do not use them to set individualised prices: professionals set their own prices, and every visitor sees the same price for the same service.
A human reviews any decision to suspend an account or refuse a Verified badge. Where your state gives you the right to opt out of profiling, to learn the reason for a profiling decision, or to have a decision reviewed by a person, Section 10 explains how to ask.
4. How we disclose personal information
4.1 To the professional you choose
When you make a booking, the professional you selected receives your name, the contact details on the booking, the service address (for home visits), the date and time, and any notes you added. When you post an urgent request, you are asking us to pass your phone number to professionals who can help, and the professional who claims your request receives it so they can call you back.
This is the purpose of the Service and cannot be switched off while still making a booking. As Section 1 explains, the professional then becomes independently responsible for that information.
We do not disclose your information to any professional you did not choose or who did not claim your request.
4.2 What professionals pay us for
Professionals pay a flat subscription fee for access to listing, calendar and booking tools; the current rates are on our Pricing page. That fee is not calculated by reference to the number, quality or value of bookings received. We take no commission on any job, and we do not charge professionals to unlock, reveal or claim a customer's contact details. We do not compile, license, rent or supply lead lists, contact lists or customer databases to anyone.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our pricing or lead-routing model ever changes in a way that would affect this, we will update this Policy and provide an opt-out mechanism before the change takes effect.
4.3 Publicly
Professional profiles — business name, trade, services, prices, city, ratings and reviews — are public pages, visible to anyone and indexable by search engines. Reviews display the name on the reviewing account. Choose a display name you are comfortable showing publicly, and keep personal details out of review text.
4.4 To companies that help us run the Service
Service providers. These vendors act only on our instructions under written contracts that prohibit them from retaining, using or disclosing your information for their own purposes:
| Purpose | Provider |
|---|---|
| Hosting, infrastructure and content delivery | Hostinger |
| Transactional email delivery | Titan (Hostinger) |
Independent companies. Some companies we work with are not service providers: they decide for themselves how to use certain information, principally for fraud prevention, security and their own legal compliance, and they publish their own privacy policies:
| Purpose | Company |
|---|---|
| Payment processing for professional subscriptions | Stripe, PayPal |
| Map tiles on pages showing a map, under standard public terms | OpenStreetMap Foundation |
We encourage you to read those companies' policies. We do not receive advertising data from them and do not permit them to use your information to advertise to you.
How payment works in practice. We do not embed a payment form. When a professional subscribes, we send them to Stripe's or PayPal's own checkout page, and they return here afterwards — so card details are entered on the processor's site, never on ours.
Our spam and form protection is first-party: it runs in your browser and sends nothing to any third party.
4.5 For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose personal information where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with applicable law, subpoena, court order or other legal process; respond to a lawful government request; enforce our Terms; investigate suspected fraud or abuse; or protect the rights, property or safety of Task Masters, our users or the public. Where we are legally permitted to do so, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you before responding to legal process.
4.6 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, bankruptcy or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will seek to require the recipient to honour this Policy, and we will give you notice and an opportunity to delete your information before a materially different privacy policy is applied to it.
4.7 With your direction
Otherwise, we disclose information only at your direction or with your consent.
5. Categories disclosed in the preceding twelve months
As at September 3, 2026. Reviewed and updated annually.
| Category disclosed | Disclosed to |
|---|---|
| Identifiers | Professionals you chose; hosting, email and payment companies; legal/safety recipients |
| Customer records | Professionals you chose; hosting and email providers |
| Commercial information | Professionals you chose; hosting and payment companies |
| Internet or network activity | Hosting provider; analytics provider (Google Analytics); map tile provider, on pages showing a map |
| Geolocation data | Hosting provider |
| Audio/visual information | Publicly, on professional profiles; hosting provider |
| Professional or employment information | Publicly, on professional profiles; hosting provider |
| Inferences | Hosting provider |
| Sensitive personal information | Not disclosed. Precise location is used on our own servers to sort results by distance and is not sent to the map provider |
Sold: none. Shared for cross-context behavioral advertising: none.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use first-party functional cookies, plus the analytics cookies noted below:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in; remembers the city you browse | 120 minutes |
| CSRF token | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery | 120 minutes |
| “Remember me” | Only if you tick that option at login | 400 days |
_ga, _ga_<property> | Google Analytics — tells one visit apart from the next, so we can count visitors rather than page loads | Up to 2 years |
We do not use advertising cookies, pixels, session-replay tools or cross-site tracking of any kind, and we do not participate in any advertising network. The analytics cookies above measure our own traffic and nothing else.
Third-party components. Two third parties are reached from your browser.
Google Analytics loads its script from googletagmanager.com and sets the analytics
cookies listed above; it is how we count visitors and see which pages people arrive on. The OpenStreetMap
Foundation serves the map images on pages showing a map, which means your IP address and the area you are
looking at are visible to them; those servers set no cookies and serve no advertising. Nothing else is embedded:
our payment processors are reached by sending you to their own checkout pages rather than by loading their code
here, and our spam protection is our own.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Service remains browsable, but signing in and submitting forms require the functional cookies above.
Opt-out preference signals. Some browsers and extensions send an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control. Because we do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not run targeted advertising, there is nothing on this Service for such a signal to disable. We treat receipt of a valid signal as an opt-out request in respect of any such processing should we ever introduce it, and we will not treat you differently for sending one.
7. Location information
- Precise location is collected only if you tap “use my location” and your browser grants permission. We use it solely to find professionals near you and to route urgent requests. Precise geolocation is sensitive data under most state laws; we use it only for that purpose and never sell it.
- Withdrawing permission is as easy as granting it. Turn it off in your browser at any time or, if you have an account, with a single toggle in your dashboard settings. Turning it off affects only distance-based results.
- Chosen city — kept in your session and, for account holders, in your profile.
- Service address — for home visits, disclosed to the professional you booked so they can attend.
- Professionals' business coordinates — professionals may set a business location so distance search and maps work; this is part of their public listing. Professionals working from home should list a service area rather than an exact address.
- Approximate location from IP address — inferred for statistics, routing and abuse prevention.
8. Public content, reviews and user material
Profiles, listings, portfolio images, ratings, reviews and replies are public. Search engines may index them and third parties may copy or cache them beyond our control. Deleting content removes it from our systems, but we cannot compel third parties to delete copies already made.
Reviews must relate to a completed booking. We do not edit the substance of reviews, but we may remove content that violates our Terms, including content disclosing another person's personal information or that is unlawful, harassing or fraudulent.
Reviews and deletion requests. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your personal information, we remove your name and account association from reviews you posted and keep the review text without that identifying information. We do this because state deletion rights contain an exception for another person's right of free expression, and because the review is information other consumers and the reviewed professional rely on. Please note that a review may still be recognisable to the professional who performed the job, since they know who booked it — so if you want the text removed as well, tell us and we will remove text that identifies you.
9. Communications and your choices
- Transactional messages (booking confirmations and changes, urgent-request callbacks, verification decisions, billing and security notices) are part of operating the Service. They are not marketing and cannot be switched off while your account is active.
- Marketing email is sent only if you opted in. Every marketing email carries a working one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect promptly and in no event later than 10 business days, and never affects your bookings.
- Text messages (SMS). We do not send SMS or text messages of any kind, and we do not use your phone number for marketing. A phone number you provide is used only so the professional you booked, or who claimed your urgent request, can reach you about that job.
- Calls from professionals. By posting an urgent request or booking with a phone number, you are asking that professional to contact you about that job. Professionals are independently responsible for their own calling and texting practices.
10. Your privacy rights
State law gives residents of some states the rights below. Where you live in a state without a comprehensive privacy law, we will still honour access, correction, deletion and portability requests as a matter of policy, subject to our ability to verify you and to the exceptions in Section 10.5.
10.1 Rights
We make the following rights available to residents of every U.S. state, whether or not the law of a particular state provides each one:
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Know / access | Confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain the categories and specific pieces we hold |
| Correct | Have inaccurate personal information corrected |
| Delete | Have your personal information deleted, subject to Section 10.5 |
| Portability | Receive a copy of the information you provided, in a portable, machine-readable format |
| Opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising | We do none of these; you may still submit the request and we will confirm in writing |
| Opt out of profiling | Object to profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects (Section 3.1) |
| Limit use of sensitive personal information | Direct us to limit use to permitted purposes — which we already do by default |
| Non-discrimination | We will never deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised a right |
| Appeal | Ask us to reconsider a refusal (Section 10.4) |
| List of recipients | A list of the specific third parties, not merely categories, to which we disclosed your personal information |
| Question a profiling result | The reason for a profiling decision affecting you, the data used, and what you could change |
| Withdraw consent | Withdraw consent to precise geolocation at any time, as easily as it was given |
One clarification on non-discrimination. If you ask us to delete your personal information, we may no longer be able to provide the Service to you, because an account, a booking or a professional listing cannot exist without the information that defines it. Closing an account in response to a deletion request is the consequence of the request, not a penalty for making it, and we will explain this before acting.
You may also complain to your state Attorney General or, in California, to the California Privacy Protection Agency.
10.2 Self-service
Account holders can do most of this instantly in the dashboard: view and correct profile, services, availability and settings; and delete the account (password confirmation required), which cancels active subscriptions with the payment processor and removes your profile, services, bookings and favorites, and de-identifies your reviews as described in Section 8. Section 11 lists the limited records we keep afterwards.
If a professional closes their account, their public listing is removed. Bookings you made with them remain in your own booking history, with the professional shown as no longer active, so that your records and any dispute or tax documentation stay intact.
10.3 How to submit a request
Email contact-us@task-masters.net, stating the right you wish to exercise, the email address or phone number associated with your account or booking, and enough detail for us to locate your records. Because we operate exclusively online and have a direct relationship with our users, email is our designated request channel.
Verification. For account holders, sending the request from the email address on the account is normally sufficient, and we may also ask you to confirm from within your logged-in session. For guests, and for requests seeking specific pieces of information, we may ask for data points matching our records — for example the booking date and the phone number used — and we apply a higher standard of certainty before disclosing specific pieces. We will not create an account, and will not collect new categories of information, solely to verify you, and we use verification information only for that purpose and for the request record described in Section 11.
Authorized agents. You may use an agent. We will ask for written, signed authorization or a valid power of attorney, and may ask you to confirm the authorization with us directly.
Timing. We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. Where reasonably necessary we may extend once, by the further period your state's law allows, and will tell you why within the first 45 days. Requests are free up to twice in any 12-month period; we may charge a reasonable fee for, or decline, manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive requests, and will explain if we do.
10.4 Appeals
If we refuse a request, our response will explain why and how to appeal. Email contact-us@task-masters.net with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” within 30 days of our decision. A person not involved in the original decision reviews the appeal, and we respond in writing within 45 days, explaining the outcome and our reasoning. If we deny the appeal, we will give you a method to submit a complaint to your state Attorney General.
10.5 When we may decline
We may decline all or part of a request where the law permits or requires, including where we must retain information to complete a transaction you requested; detect or prevent fraud and security incidents; comply with a legal obligation or preserve evidence for a pending or reasonably anticipated legal claim; exercise or defend legal rights; maintain accurate financial and tax records; or where honouring the request would compromise another person's privacy or right of free expression. If we decline in part, we act on the remainder, and we always tell you which exception we relied on.
11. How long we keep information
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account and profile data | While the account is active; deleted on account deletion |
| Booking records | While the account is active and for as long as the booking may be the subject of a dispute; deleted or de-identified on account deletion |
| Guest booking data | While needed by the professional and for dispute handling, then deleted or de-identified on request |
| Urgent request data | A request stops being visible to professionals 3 hours after it is posted; the record is kept for dispute handling and deleted or de-identified on request |
| Reviews and replies | While published; de-identified on account deletion (Section 8) |
| Verification documents | While the professional's account exists; deleted when the account is deleted. A Verified badge is granted on the strength of these documents, and a badge that is later questioned can only be answered by the documents it was granted on — so they are kept, including those behind an earlier attempt that was rejected, together with the decision itself: the legal name, the outcome, the date, the reason if rejected, and who decided. They are stored on a private disk, are never published, and are readable only by the staff who review them. You can ask us to delete a document sooner — see Section 10; we will delete it, and the badge is then reviewed without it |
| Subscription and billing records | 7 years, for tax and accounting obligations |
| Support correspondence | While needed to handle the matter and any follow-up |
| Usage and security logs | 14 days, then deleted automatically |
| Privacy requests and our responses | 24 months, as required of businesses handling such requests. This record contains the request, our response and the verification we performed, and is used only to demonstrate our compliance — never for any other purpose |
| Aggregate visit statistics | Retained indefinitely only in aggregate form containing no IP addresses, account identifiers or other information capable of identifying a person or device. The raw log data feeding these statistics is deleted on the schedule above |
Legal holds. Where we reasonably need to retain specific information longer to comply with law, resolve a dispute, or establish or defend a legal claim, we retain it for that limited purpose only and isolate it from ordinary use.
De-identified data. We maintain de-identified data in de-identified form, do not attempt to re-identify it except to test that the de-identification works, and contractually require the same of any recipient.
12. How we protect information
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature and volume of the information we hold, including: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS); passwords stored only as salted hashes; role-restricted access to administrative tools; rate limiting; cross-site request forgery protection; IP blocking for abusive traffic; and periodic review of our measures as the Service evolves.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we do not do so. Please use a unique, strong password and tell us at contact-us@task-masters.net if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Breach notification. If a security incident compromises your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulators without unreasonable delay and within the timeframes required by the applicable state breach-notification statute.
13. State-specific disclosures
13.1 California
- Notice at collection. Categories, purposes and retention periods appear in Sections 2, 3 and 11, and this Policy is linked from every page on which we collect personal information.
- No sale, no sharing. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16.
- Sensitive personal information. Used only for purposes permitted by Civ. Code § 1798.121, so the right to limit is satisfied by default.
- Financial incentives. We offer no financial incentive or price difference in exchange for personal information.
- Shine the Light (Civ. Code § 1798.83). We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. California residents may nonetheless request confirmation once a year at contact-us@task-masters.net.
- Automated decision-making technology. As described in Section 3.1, we do not use ADMT to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. If that changes, we will give the pre-use notice and the access and opt-out rights California regulations require.
13.2 States with comprehensive consumer privacy laws
Comprehensive consumer privacy laws are in effect in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia. These laws differ in the specific rights they grant; as Section 10.1 states, we make the full set available to everyone rather than asking you to work out which apply to you.
- Consent for sensitive data. We process precise geolocation only with your affirmative consent, withdrawable at any time. We process no other sensitive data by design.
- Opt-out preference signals. California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon and Texas require recognition of universal opt-out mechanisms; Section 6 states our position.
- Texas. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act requires a specific notice where a business sells sensitive personal data or biometric data. We sell neither, so no such notice is required or given.
- Maryland. We do not sell sensitive personal data (prohibited outright in Maryland), do not sell the personal data of any consumer we know to be under 18, and collect only what is reasonably necessary and proportionate to provide the Service you requested.
- Minnesota and Oregon. You may obtain a list of the specific third parties to which we disclosed your personal data. Minnesota residents may also, where profiling produces legal or similarly significant effects, learn the reason, the data used, and what could be changed. Section 10.1 makes both available to everyone.
- Connecticut. Connecticut's amended law applies at lower thresholds and adds restrictions on precise geolocation, minors' data and algorithmic pricing; Sections 3.1, 7 and 14 describe our practices.
- Colorado. If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General.
13.3 Florida
Florida's Digital Bill of Rights applies principally to very large technology companies. To the extent it applies to us, Florida residents may exercise the rights in Section 10.
13.4 Nevada
Nevada residents may direct us not to make any “sale” of covered information as Nevada defines it. We do not sell covered information. You may nonetheless submit a verified request to contact-us@task-masters.net and we will respond within 60 days.
13.5 Consumer health data (Washington, Nevada, Connecticut)
Washington's My Health My Data Act and comparable Nevada and Connecticut provisions define “consumer health data” broadly and can reach information suggesting a person sought a health-related service.
We do not knowingly collect consumer health data, do not sell it, and do not use it for advertising. Bookings in wellness-adjacent categories record only that a booking of that service type occurred, which is necessary to deliver the service you requested. Please keep health details out of free-text fields. If you believe we hold consumer health data about you, email contact-us@task-masters.net and we will delete it.
13.6 Biometric information (Illinois, Texas, Washington)
We do not collect, capture, store, use or disclose biometric identifiers or biometric information. We use no facial recognition, voiceprints or fingerprint scanning anywhere on the Service, including on profile and portfolio images.
13.7 Other states
Residents of states without a comprehensive privacy law may exercise the rights in Section 10 as a matter of our policy, as stated there.
13.8 Upcoming laws
New comprehensive privacy laws take effect in Louisiana and Oklahoma (1 January 2027), Alabama (1 May 2027) and Vermont (1 January 2028). We review this Policy before each becomes effective.
14. Children's privacy
The Service is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, do not knowingly sell or share minors' personal information (we do not sell or share any personal information), and do not process minors' data for targeted advertising or profiling. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we delete it in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
Registration requires you to confirm you are 18 or over.
Bookings involving children. Categories such as childcare, babysitting and tutoring involve services delivered to children. Only a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over may make such a booking, on their own account. Give only the minimum detail the professional needs — for example, “two children, ages 6 and 9.” Do not upload photographs of children, school details, medical information or other identifying information about a child, in booking notes or in reviews. We remove such content when we become aware of it.
If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, or that a child's personal information appears anywhere on the Service, email contact-us@task-masters.net and we will delete it promptly.
What our Verified badge means. The Verified badge indicates only that a professional submitted business documents that we reviewed. It is not a criminal background check, a licence verification, a reference check or an endorsement, and it says nothing about a professional's suitability to work with children or in your home.
15. Do Not Track
We do not track users across other websites, do not build advertising profiles and do not run any advertising network, so there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” browser signal to disable. Our analytics cookie recognises a returning visitor on this site only, so that repeat visits are counted as one person rather than two; it follows you nowhere else. There is no industry-accepted standard for responding to DNT. This Section is provided as California law requires.
16. Location of processing and visitors from outside the United States
The Service is hosted in the United States and directed to users in the United States. It is not offered to, or intended for, individuals in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, and we do not monitor the behaviour of individuals located there.
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where the law of your region grants additional rights, Section 10 explains how to exercise them and we will honour them to the extent they apply.
17. Accessibility and changes
Accessibility. We aim to make this Policy usable with assistive technology and readable on any device, and you can print or save it from your browser. For an alternative format, email contact-us@task-masters.net.
Changes. We may update this Policy as the Service or the law changes; the “Last updated” date reflects the current revision. Where a change is material, we give notice on the Service or by email before it takes effect, and obtain consent where the law requires consent for the new processing. We will not apply materially different practices to information already collected without notifying you. Prior versions are available on request.
